Good book! Definitely more than your average romance novel. I love the character development Theresa has going on, it's good for the soul. The book left me wanting more.

I had just finished a tear-jerker (the last two books of a 4 book boxed set). I don't gravitate to those types of romance novels and if I'd been aware that it was going to be a tear-jerker..I certainly wouldn't have purchased the boxed set no matter how intriguing the synopsis. But I did read them and they left me in a bad depression (and a vow to never read that author again). I needed Ms. J.S. Scott....NOW! I can always count on Ms. Scott to pull me outta the mully-grubs and this story was just what I needed. It has a great beginning that immediately roped me in to Tessa's dilemma...it captures one's attention --- with Tessa Sullivan (27) being dumped by her fiancé and as she's leaving a posh restaurant alone and distracted and very upset....she's about to step into moving traffic in NYC. She's not paying attention because of her devastation and not hearing anything because she's deaf.

I loved Tessa's character. She's just an overall sweet and kind person who goes through a series of extreme loss...from her fiancé, to her hearing, to her career and finally losing both of her parents....all within one years time of each other. I loved her strength and "fight", to pull herself out of her depression after all the hard knocks that she's dealt. She keeps going, putting one foot in front of the other day in/out until she finds herself and her purpose....with the help of Micah Sinclair.

Micha has always been fascinated (borderline obsessed) with Tessa, and when he discovers she's moved back to her home town, (where he currently is at as well), his obsession spikes to a new level. But I loved this guy! He's all the things you like in a strong, dominate alpha male character....but is charming, caring and kind as well.

Ms. Scott hit that ball outta the park with this fabulous plot of romantic drama. She has the wonderful ability/talent (or at least this humble reader thinks so..), of conveying and portraying and unfolding each scene to its zenith with technicolor and brilliant clarity building to a fabulous ear splitting crescendo. Before the reader is even aware what has happened, Ms. Author has you captured and enthralled with the storyline as it deepens and the romantic plot thickens. Character descriptions are spot on. Adult worded dialogue is original and well balanced with just enough narration told in third person(s). I loved how Ms. Scott painstakingly draws the reader into a slightly intriguing yet erotically sweet, romantic plot and leads us, inch by wonderfully delicious slow inch, through each step and phase of progression of Tessa's hesitant, but hawt connection with Micah Sinclair. Ms. Scott so capably and thoroughly conveys the fears of Tessa...the angst and desperation to be independent in a world gone silent that she finds herself in...as well as the wonderful progression and raw excitement of the newness of the beginning of a hawt mutual connection between two people. Outstanding! There's no rush and because Ms. Scott's talented capabilities..because of her expert writing, the reader has no choice but to feel connected as one with the main characters...there is no other alternative than to fall into the emotional romantic turmoil as they both begin to learn one another. The journey is absolutely exquisite, and fun and delightful throughout. It never loses momentum and leaves with a wonderful HEA and a nice "set-up" for the next couple.

This is book four in the Sinclairs series and the first of the series that I have read. The book is a standalone, but I think starting with book one would have given me a better understanding of the other characters.

Another reviewer pointed out an error that I missed. Tessa, who is deaf, heard a door open. I usually pick up on things like that, but I somehow just "skated" past it. I can only guess it was because I liked the story line and the authors writing style.

There are other reviews regarding the sex and language. If you like contemporary romances, I recommend it. If you don't like explicit sex or "bad" language, this one isn't for you. I suggest you stick to the clean and wholesome category. I, for one, will start with The Billionaire's Christmas and work my way forward.
I need this series in my life...I swear I never get tired of reading J.S. Scott books.
We saw a budding relationship between Micah and Tessa in the last book, (which is usually how the next book is set up) and in this book we got to see the budding relationship between Julian and Kristin (which I am uber excited to red!!! AND I have to wait until 2017!!! NOOOO!!!!) but we also got a little background into Micah, Julian, and Xander's families tragic past.

Tessa and Micah were connected even before they met through Xander which I thought was great. Xander was such a pivotal role in Tessa's life even for the short amount of time they talked. I was hoping Tessa could talk some sense into Xander once he got to Amesport but I also knew she wasn't going to be his light...I haven pin pointed who from Amesport it will be yet either.

Now I know Liam isn't a "Sinclair" but I want him to have a book or at least a novella.
I highly recommend reading this series from the absolute beginning that for me personally means reading The Billionaire's Obsession series first because these characters intertwine throughout the books.
The fourth book in this series does not disappoint, in fact the series is only getting better.

When we first meet Tessa she was simply introduced as the deaf restaurant owner, but I always wanted her to get her happy ever after. Every girl deserves it. Throw in the handsome extreme sports star that is Miach Sinclair and the fireworks where bound to start.

Pushing each other to confront their fears, and talk about their heartaches opens their hearts to each other but also our hearts to them. I laughed, I cried, and ultimately I was filled with the most joyous feeling that I had to go find my own Miach and snuggle him to death.

I highly recommend this series and all her other books. Congratulations J.S. Now bring on the next brother/cousin
This is another wonderful romance by J. S. Scott. You will laugh, shed some tears at the hardships the main characters have had and fan yourself at the hot scenes.

We know Micah, the oldest of the Sinclair family cousins, from before. He is an extreme sports fan, hard worker and takes his brothers well being as his own responsibility. We find all that has had an effect on his health, and leads to some down time in Amesport, Maine.

Tessa was an Olympic medal figure skater six years ago. Becoming deaf stole that passion from her. She moved to Amesport to help her brother, Liam, run the family seafood restaurant. She has been there since, helping daily but not really living her life fully.

Micah is determined to pull Tessa out of her self-induced shell. They have both successes and failures. They learn about each other, and themselves, as they grow closer. You will love them as a couple and cheer for their happily ever after! I'm looking forward to more Sinclair stories.
